The first day leads us from Barcelona to the charming town of Rupit, passing through Sabadell and other picturesque locales. Experience the serene beauty of rural Catalonia, with lunch in Rupit and an exploration of its historic streets. In the afternoon, ride through the scenic towns of Olot and Besalú, each rich in history, before arriving in Figueres, a key location in the exile story.
Day two is a deeper dive into the history of the exile. Starting in Figueres, ride towards the French border, visiting significant sites like La Vajol, the last Spanish refuge for many exiles. The route then leads to Portbou and along the scenic coast to Cadaqués, offering breathtaking Mediterranean views. Spend the night in this coastal gem, absorbing its unique atmosphere.
The final day takes us back to Barcelona, with a stop at the spiritually significant Santuario dels Angels near Girona. Marvel at the panoramic views and reflect on the journey. Lunch in Hostalric offers a taste of traditional Catalan cuisine before concluding the tour at Barcelona.
