365 Curve Challenge: Costa Brava

This is one of those rides we do because it’s simply too good not to share.

The 365 Curve Challenge is a two-day motorcycle route through the Costa Brava and inland Catalonia, packed with constant bends, quiet backroads, and the kind of scenery that makes you stop, take your helmet off, and smile. We start near Barcelona, where your BMW is ready and waiting, and head straight towards some of the best riding roads in the region.

On day one, we ride through Girona province and drop down to the coast, linking together places like Lloret de Mar, Tossa de Mar, and Sant Feliu de Guíxols. The road here is pure fun — flowing curves, sea views, and that Mediterranean light you only get on the Costa Brava. We stop along the way to stretch our legs, grab a coffee, and enjoy the views before heading to Llafranc for lunch.

In the afternoon, the ride continues through Far de Sant Sebastià, Tamariu, Begur, and the medieval towns of Pals and La Bisbal d’Empordà, known for its ceramics and local character. We finish the day in Platja d’Aro, where we settle in, relax, and enjoy a good dinner after a full day on the bike.

Day two heads back inland, taking a completely different route so it never feels like a repeat. We ride past Sant Grau, Llagostera, and Caldes de Malavella, then climb into greener, quieter areas around Sant Hilari Sacalm, Espinelves, and Sant Sadurní d’Osormort. This part of the ride is all about rhythm and flow — forests, elevation changes, and empty roads. We stop for lunch at Hostal la Guineu, a proper local place that riders love.

The final stretch takes us through Hostalric and into Rupit, one of the most charming villages in Catalonia, before wrapping up the ride near Girona.

This tour isn’t about rushing or ticking boxes. It’s about great roads, good riding, and enjoying Catalonia the way locals do — from the saddle.
