Morocco: Sand & Sea Tour

Morocco: Sand & Sea is a 7-day, 6-night guided motorcycle tour that crosses Morocco from the edge of the Sahara to the Atlantic Ocean and back. Starting and finishing at our base in Erfoud, this loop covers around 1,600 km across 5 riding days, all on paved roads, linking desert, gorges, high mountain passes, the imperial city of Marrakech and the surf coast north of Agadir.

The route packs the whole country into one week. We ride west through the palm oases of Tinejdad and Tinghir into the towering walls of the Todra Gorge, then on to the Dadès Valley. From there we climb past the film-set kasbah of Aït Ben Haddou and over the Tizi n'Tichka, the High Atlas pass at 2,260 m, before dropping into Marrakech. The next day the old N8 carries us down to the Atlantic at Taghazout Bay.

The way home is the wild side of Morocco. We cross the Anti-Atlas through Taroudant, Taliouine and Tazenakht to the desert outpost of Foum Zguid, then follow the Draa Valley past Zagora and Alnif to close the loop in Erfoud. Breakfast and dinner are included every day, nights are spent in hand-picked 4/5-star hotels, and an assistance van carries your luggage and a spare BMW motorcycle the whole way.

Desert, canyon, mountain and ocean in seven days. Few places on earth change this much from one day's ride to the next, and Morocco does it better than anywhere.
