Tour Overview
Two days. 520 kilometres. Start at REVV Travel offices in Barcelona, sleep on the Costa Brava, come back through inland forests so day two is not day one in reverse.
This is a self-guided REVV route: intermediate, fully on tarmac, about five riding hours a day. You ride a BMW from our Barcelona fleet.
From €420 includes a BMW F 800 GS and hotel in a shared room. If you ride solo, an individual room is obligatory and charged extra. The route stays in Catalonia — it does not cross a country border.
We run this because it is the weekend we give friends who already fly into Barcelona. Not a 12-day Pyrenees crossing. Not a city tour.
Day 1 — Barcelona to the Costa Brava
Morning: pickup at REVV Travel offices in Barcelona, briefing, tyres and luggage. Through Girona province down to the sea: Lloret de Mar, Tossa de Mar, Sant Feliu de Guíxols. Lunch in Llafranc. Afternoon: Far de Sant Sebastià, Tamariu, Begur, Pals, La Bisbal d’Empordà. Night in Platja d’Aro.
Flowing corners and sea on your right. Intermediate means you are already happy on a mid-weight adventure bike in traffic and in villages.
Day 2 — Inland Catalonia, different road
Sant Grau, Llagostera, Caldes de Malavella, then Sant Hilari Sacalm, Espinelves, Sant Sadurní d’Osormort. Lunch at Hostal la Guineu. Hostalric, Rupit, finish toward Girona and back to Barcelona.
What’s in the from-€420 rate
- BMW F 800 GS for both days (unlimited kilometres)

- Basic insurance with a €2,500 deposit. VIP insurance is €30/day and drops the deposit / max deductible to €500
A license is obligatory. You must be over 25. Cross-border is included on our rentals generally; this particular route does not use it.
Upgrade the bike from the Barcelona fleet (F 900 XR, R 1300 GS, S 1000 XR, RT) when you book — the from-price is the F 800 GS.
When to go
Best: April–June and September–October. July–August on the GI-682 is heat plus hire cars. Ask us for winter dates; inland day two can be cold and wet.
